Our full time employees are all highly skilled people most of whom have been with us for many years. Each person has specific responsibilities for different operations within the business, while still working together as a well knit team.

Through May to October, Laurence J Betts Ltd recruits a seasonal workforce, who carry out a wide range of tasks throughout the salad production process.

We expect everybody to work hard as part of the team and participate in the wellbeing, caring and enjoyable atmosphere of the business.

We also provide on the farm, excellent self-catering accommodation for seasonal workers, with regular transport to the local shops. BBQ's, discos and trips to the seaside and local places of interest are frequently organised. There are tennis courts and sporting facilities locally. The Betts family live on the farm and are always available to deal with any problems should they occur.

It is our objective to grow top quality produce consistently, efficiently and safely, in an environmentally responsible way and for the staff to be trained and work in an enjoyable, safe and caring environment where all individiuals are valued as an integral part of the team.
